Sri Lanka Tea Factory Association which was established to promote, foster and protect the tea manufacturing industry.

The Sri Lanka Tea Factory Owners Association (SLTFOA) was established to promote, foster and protect the tea manufacturing industry and in particular, the tea small holders. It interacts with many industry associations and contributes actively to their discussions and decisions, with the aim of uplifting Ceylon tea whilst pursuing the best interest of its members.

Formerly known as Private Tea Factory Owners Association (PTFOA) the SLTFOA was established as a self financed, independent limited liability company on the 11th September 1990. With branches located in the areas of Galle, Matara, Ratnapura/Balangoda, Kandy/Gampola and Kalutara/Mathugama it currently enjoys a membership of 230 factory owners. All activities are coordinated by the SLTFOA,

The General Committee meets monthly in Colombo for discussions, while branches hold their own meetings at regional level. Each districts cast votes to appoint their representatives to the General Committee at the Annual General Meeting.

The SLTFOA is prominently represented at the Sri Lanka Tea Board and the National Institute of Plantation Management, where either the Chairmen or his nominee is a board member. It is also represented at the Board of the Tea Small Holding Development Authority, the Tea Research Board and the Tea Council of Sri Lanka Tea Board.
